Schedule: When in the office, work hours are M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM. However, there are frequent times when evenings and weekends are required to meet the needs of DCC activities or events. Schedules are particularly uncertain during the last months of pre-event, event, or post-event activities, such as “The Prouty.”

Position Purpose
The Manager, Peer-to-Peer Fundraising, works collaboratively as a member of the Friends of Dartmouth Cancer Center team and oversees the strategy and implementation of the peer-to-peer fundraising (P2P) program for the Prouty, the cancer center’s annual fundraising event, which takes place each July. This event raises over $10m annually, including $5m in P2P fundraising, making it an integral component of the event’s success.

Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong data management skills.
- Familiarity with Peer to Peer platforms.
- Familiarity with Luminate/TeamRaiser, Raiser’s Edge or comparable CRM software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to professionally represent the Friends of FDCC.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Brings joy and a sense of humor to the workplace.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to staff events.
- Ability to lift and carry event supplies.
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
Experience
- Minimum six years of relevant experience.
- Prior work in Peer to Peer fundraising strongly desired
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work in events coordination, volunteer management, and/or related experience preferred.
- Prior work in fundraising, non-profit, higher education, or health care setting preferred.
Key Accountabilities
Program Management (70%)
- Serve as the lead architect and manager of all P2P program needs including, but not limited to, the following: participant acquisition, engagement and fundraising strategies, communications, customer service program, data analysis, revenue forecasting and vendor management
- Serve as lead role within the team for all P2P program needs and
- Develop and implement a program for P2P fundraising that includes regular check-ins, updates, webinars and guidance for event participants. Monitors program performance and collaborates with Director and others to revise strategies and tactics as needed.
- Provides regular updates on key metrics including: revenue, registrations, YOY comparisons, cost of funds raised.
- Assess current workflows (i.e. reporting, communications) and propose and implement program enhancements, as needed.
- Provide back-end support for virtual events and participants
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Strategic Engagement and Medical & Healthcare Advancement division to identify best practices and areas for innovation and growth.
- Oversee 1-2 subcommittees for specific Prouty/Friends events.
- Design and execute customer service program.
Communications (20%)
- Develop and implement FDCC & Event Communication Strategies
- Design and implement communications plans within P2P platform to support P2P program strategies and goals.
- In coordination with the Director, write, plan and execute all FDCC participant communications, including: acquisition, engagement and fundraising emails, donor communications and Friends’ newsletters to relay impact, deepen engagement and drive fundraising.
- Collaborates with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate content is hosted at all times on all fundraising websites for FDCC events.
- Oversee content creation and management for event website and communications.
- Collaborate with MHA communications and engagement team members, DCC communications and others on the development of internal and external communications.
General Administrative Support (10%)
- Oversight of intern program.
- Oversee and manage Program Coordinator.
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion and cultural awareness through interactions and communication with others.
- Participate in Children’s P2P strategy planning
- Support P2P and general needs of other FDCC events as requested
- Handle confidential of sensitive information, exercising discretion concerning its disposition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
