Job Description Summary

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine seeks a part-time, board certified Radiation Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary team. This physician will primarily support and sustain our patient populations at the Chester County and Valley Forge practice locations. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative academic environment, contributing to our mission of excellence in clinical care. This position offers a part-time schedule while maintaining involvement in a leading academic radiation oncology program.

Job Description

The Penn Medicine Clinician will:

  • Evaluate and manage radiation oncology patients, including initial consultations, treatment planning, on-treatment visits, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop optimal treatment plans
  • Contour target volumes and critical structures for radiation treatment planning; Review and approve treatment plans and dose distributions
  • Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record according to departmental standards
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance activities, such as chart rounds and tumor boards as scheduled
  • Stay current with advancements in radiation oncology through continued medical education
  • Participate in departmental meetings relevant to clinical responsibilities
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including maintenance of board certification (CME credits are offered through the department)

Qualifications

M.D.; License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; DEA Licensure and Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. 0-1 year of work experience of related experience in a specified medical field while preferred is 2-3 years of work related experience in Radiation Oncology.

Work Schedule:

2-3 days per week (16-30 hours per week).

Compensation:

Compensation is ultimately determined by Human Resources; however, this position is budgeted for an annualized salary range of $130,000-$350,000, which will be prorated based on the approved part-time schedule.
