An exciting opportunity to join our People Team!

We are seeking an experienced People Advisor with a strong grounding in employee relations case work to join our great People Team.

This is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative HR environment, is able to work at pace, and enjoys making a meaningful difference across the employee experience.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll work closely with our People Partners and People Administrators to provide a high quality, professional and inclusive advisory service. Working with the managers in our Schools and Professional Services departments, you will support a range of employee relations activity including; all type of casework, sickness management and general people queries, helping managers navigate people matters with clarity and confidence. You’ll also collaborate with the People Partner and wider team on people focused initiatives and projects, delivering meaningful support across the university. Additionally, you will act as an escalation point for more complex or nuanced queries passed on by the People Administrator, ensuring issues are resolved effectively and with care. Finally, you’ll work in partnership with the Talent Team to support joined up activity across the full colleague lifecycle.

This is a full time role due to capacity requirements and will require being on any of our 4 campuses at least 3 days a week, with this being key in the first few months of joining and getting to understand the University, the role and meet the key stakeholders.
