"Per Diem-Student Nurse-M/S Acute 3-Days"

Position Summary: Provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. Overseen by the assigned RN and/or Clinical Coordinator as assigned. Reports to the Manager of Med-Surg/DOU.

Required Qualifications:

• Completed a minimum of 1 semester of clinical rotation and currently enrolled in a California Registered Nurse program.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the unit.
• Must speak, read, and write English and communicate effectively.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
