Personal Trainer (Part-Time) - Student Affairs
Position Summary
The Personal Trainer provides members with customized fitness programs while educating them on proper nutrition, cardiovascular exercise, resistance training and attaining a healthier lifestyle.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Builds and maintains client base, instructs small group training or one-on-one training.
- Educates members of current health and fitness issues and trends.
- Executes individual fitness program design, demonstrates and teaches exercises while providing feedback on technique.
- Greets and makes members/guests feel welcomed as they enter and exit the facility. Treats all members and guests with respect.
- Ensures safety of guests/members and takes preventative actions to decrease risk.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Job Location/Working Conditions: Normal office environment
Physical Effort: Typically sitting at a desk or table
Equipment: Office equipment
Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
Certifications/Professional Licenses: Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) - American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), First Aid CPR/AED - American Red Cross, Personal Trainer - American Council on Exercise (ACE)
Work Experience: No specific work experience is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
One year experience as a Personal Trainer. Strong passion for fitness/exercise.
Education: Bachelor's degree - Health Fitness
Work Experience: Athletic Trainer (1 Year)
