PET Radiopharm Technician - Radiology
Position Summary
Position is responsible for the production of radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and research purposes and performs quality-control analyses; this includes human/animal radiometabolite studies. This position is responsible for the quality control of both clinical and investigational radiopharmaceuticals using standard operating procedures.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and research use.
- Performs standardized analytical analyses of final radiopharmaceutical preparations for clinical or research purposes.
- Performs analysis of radio metabolites for C-11 tracer studies in humans and animals.
- Helps to perform basic maintenance on instruments used for clinical/research radiopharmaceutical production and quality control. Reports difficulties immediately.
- Helps prepare sterile reagents used in the production of radiopharmaceuticals; follows all appropriate SOPs for pharmaceutical preparations 100% of the time.
- Orders necessary supplies and equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner; checks loading dock for incoming packages and appropriately receives incoming orders.
