"Pharmacy Practice, Assistant, Associate or Professor"

We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our faculty as a 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration. The successful candidate will demonstrate a robust commitment to teaching, research, and service, and may, depending on program's needs, be expected to provide clinical pharmacy services. The position may be structured as teaching-focused or include clinical practice responsibilities at an affiliated practice site. We are particularly seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

• Internal medicine, including psychiatry, respiratory disorders, infectious diseases, and gastrointestinal conditions
• Community pharmacy
• Pharmacy administration
• Pharmacy law

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Development and delivery of high-quality didactic, lab and/or experiential pharmacy courses
• Mentorship and advisement to pharmacy students
• Participation in departmental and university service activities
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance pharmacy education and practice

Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from an accredited institution
• Licensure/eligibility for licensure, in the State of Connecticut
• Completion of a residency program (PGY1 and/or PGY2) or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and publication
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Board certification in a pharmacy specialty
• Prior teaching experience in an academic setting
• Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enhanced learning

The successful candidate will support the School’s mission by delivering high-quality teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum, contributing to curriculum development and assessment, and mentoring students. Candidates with clinical training may maintain a practice site and serve as preceptors for pharmacy students. Faculty are encouraged to engage in scholarship and service activities aligned with their expertise and institutional goals.
