To aseptically compound, prepare, package, and label various Pharmaceutical and ancillary medical supplies. Complete designated computer-based record keeping and provide support assistance to the HomeMed branch staff in the areas of inventory control, shipping receiving and delivery under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Complete order fill processing for internal/supply only orders. Complete order fill processing for prescription and enteral/supply orders. Provide order double checks for non-High alert orders. Participate in weekend, shift rotation and holiday staffing as assigned. Provide sick and vacation coverage as required.

Ability to perform a wide range of physical activity: lifting, pulling, bending, manual dexterity movements. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, prioritize with accuracy and dependability: Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English.

Pharmacy Technician Associate:

• Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current licensure that meets the State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician licensing requirements. This includes: A temporary pharmacy technician license (valid for 1 year and is non-renewable) or a full pharmacy technician license upon hire, or a full pharmacy technician license before the temporary license expires.
• Proficient communication, computer and basic mathematic skills.
• This position requires primary source verification

Pharmacy Technician Intermediate:

• Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current licensure that meets the State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician licensing requirements. This includes: A temporary pharmacy technician license (valid for 1 year and is non-renewable) or a full pharmacy technician license upon hire, or a full pharmacy technician license before the temporary license expires.
• Proficient communication, computer and basic mathematic skills.
• This position requires primary source verification

Pharmacy Technician Senior:

• Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current licensure that meets the State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician licensing requirements. This includes: A temporary pharmacy technician license (valid for 1 year and is non-renewable) or a full pharmacy technician license upon hire, or a full pharmacy technician license before the temporary license expires.
• One or more years of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Proficient communication, computer and basic mathematic skills.
• This position requires primary source verification

Pharmacy Technician Graduate:

• Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Eligible for licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan Pharmacy or currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan (Temporary License or Full License). If the individual is not licensed, they will be required to obtain a Temporary Pharmacy Technician License on or before the hire date (valid for 1 year and is non-renewable). The individual will then be required to obtain a Full Pharmacy Technician License within 6 months of hire into a Pharmacy Technician Associate position, or before the expiration of the Temporary Pharmacy Technician License (whichever is sooner).

Experience in the home infusion pharmacy environment. Experience working in a team environment. Proficient in operating within Web-based and Windows environments with experience in use of the following software: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access.

Monday - Friday 10am-7pm with Occasional Saturday and Holiday work.

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
