PhD Candidate for Research into Personalized Prevention of Anxiety and Depressive Disorders
Job Summary: This PhD project focuses on developing and testing personalized interventions to prevent anxiety and depressive disorders. It involves transforming effective relapse prevention into tailored approaches for individuals at risk of first episodes or recurrence, as part of the Academic Workplace Shift Left, a collaboration between Amsterdam UMC and Arkin.
Responsibilities: Develop and test personalized digital and offline interventions; work with innovative technology for customized care; conduct pilot studies and a randomized controlled trial; collaborate with a team of intervention researchers; write scientific articles and complete the PhD within four years.
Qualifications and Requirements: A research master's degree in psychology, medicine, health sciences, or a related field; demonstrable interest in prevention, e-health, and mental health care; ability to work independently, be eager to learn, and structured; experience with clinical research or randomized controlled trials is preferred.
What the Employer Offers: A salary between €3798 and €5027 gross per month based on 36 hours per week, according to the CAO-GGZ scale; a 4-year contract starting January 1, 2026; guidance from an experienced multidisciplinary team; opportunities for development in digitalization, prevention, and implementation research; collaboration in a dynamic environment with clients, professionals, and researchers.
