Offer Description
The objective is to develop advanced algorithms for AI-enabled semantic and robot-control-aware communication with a particular focus on the management and optimization of semantic communication in 6G multi-robot teleoperation scenarios. The candidate will investigate innovative approaches leveraging semantic communications, artificial intelligence, and emerging 6G technologies to enable efficient, reliable, and intelligent communication between human operators and multiple robotic systems. Furthermore, the developed methods will be translated from theory to practice through implementation and experimental validation on robots in real-world industrial environment.
The position offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of semantic communications, robotics, optimization, and industrial automation, combining cutting-edge research with hands-on experimentation and real-world applications.

Research Field: Engineering » Communication engineering
Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- M.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Computer science, Robotics, or similar domain
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Background in wireless communications, robotics, optimization, and ML/AI is a plus
- Good programming skills (C/C++, MATLAB, Python, etc.)
- Experience with platforms for SW defined mobile networks (such as OAI) and O-RAN is a plus
- International experience is a plus
Languages: ENGLISH
