Offer Description
We are seeking for PhD candidate to carry out research at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM), a research institute of the Spanish Research Council (CSIC), in the framework of the Mag4Tic-CM Project (SOLUCIONES SOSTENIBLES DEL NANOMAGNETISMO PARA TIC - TEC-2024/TEC-380), funded by the 2024 Technologies Program of the Comunidad de Madrid. The use of the third dimension in nanomagnetism should drastically increase the storage density and enable compact nanoscale magnetic applications. The group of Nanomagnetism and Magnetisation processes at ICMM/CSIC has large experience in the fabrication, characterization and modelling of nanostructures surfaces with curvilinear geometries. A new impetus in this direction is expected with the incoming set up of the two-photon lithography in ICMM for fabricating complex nanostructures including 3D magnetic elements. The contracted person is expected to assist experimental designs and fabrication of 3D nanostructures in different geometries. He/she will conduct also magnetic characterization including Scanning Probe Microscopies as Atomic Force Microscopy, Magnetic Force Microscopy, Variable Field MFM and XMCD-PEEM.
