The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine in Ohio is offering a full time Assistant Professor position in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. The faculty of the Division of Infectious Diseases is among the national leaders in basic science research in infectious diseases, the care of patients with HIV infections, tuberculosis and global health clinical care, education and research.
The Division of Infectious Disease is seeking a dedicated and highly skills Physician Scientist with an interest in basic and/or translational research. This position also includes minimal clinical time seeing patients for the UC Health system, a system including the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati Medical Center, UC Physicians, and other affiliated hospitals.
Essential Functions
- Contributing to the clinical/patient care, research and teaching missions of the division.
- Clinical/patient care responsibilities will include general infectious disease consultations and ambulatory clinics.
- Duties will also encompass an active role in departmental fellowship programs, resident and medical student teaching.
- Teaching duties will include precepting of fellows, medical students and/or residents in your office-based practice as well as providing lectures or leading small group discussions as part of the COM or residency curriculum, clinical case conferences, core curricula and journal clubs.
Minimum Requirements
- MD or DO degree prior to effective date of appointment.
- Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases as defined by ACGME.
- Completion of a 3-year Internal Medicine residency and completion of 2-year Infectious Disease fellowship training.
- Current State of Ohio medical license.
