Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
You will act as a technical subject matter expert, designing, configuring, and improving platform infrastructure to support efficient and reliable application delivery. Managing platform configurations, prioritise and resolve operational issues, and ensure systems are secure, scalable, and fit for purpose.
Working closely with architects, developers, and stakeholders, you will contribute to solution design, support platform lifecycle improvements, and champion automation across delivery pipelines. You will also identify opportunities to enhance platform performance, drive continuous improvement, and support the adoption of best practices across the Digital Services environment.
Play a key role in monitoring platform health, analysing incidents, and proactively improving tools, processes, and ways of working to maximise platform value across the University.
Mōu | Who You Are
You are a technically strong and solutions-focused platform engineer who enjoys working across infrastructure, systems, and stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable digital services.
You will be able to demonstrate experience in:
- At Least 5 years’ experience in digital experience platform
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (NZQA Level 7)
- Strong experience with Jade Student Management System, Active Directory, and other enterprise systems
- Demonstrated experience supporting integrations and APIs across enterprise platforms
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work independently
- Demonstrated ability to identify incident trends in order to elevate incidents in accordance with standard protocols

You will work closely with Digital Services teams, including architects, developers, and application support consultants, as well as stakeholders across the University. You will also engage with vendors and technical partners to ensure platforms deliver high-quality outcomes.
