Job Summary

This position provides psychiatric care and mental health treatment to patients seen in the Park City Huntsman Mental Health Institute Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic. This Psychiatric APRN will be required to assess, diagnose, create treatment plans, prescribe psychiatric medications, establish medication management treatment plans, provide psychotherapy, create and assist with safety plans, and potentially administer medications for patients, within their scope of practice and according to state law. This position is in-person at the HMHI Park City Behavioral Health Clinic.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include performing mental health evaluations, diagnosing, creating treatment plans, triaging, making referrals when appropriate, collaborating within a multi-disciplinary treatment team, prescribing medication, providing psychotherapy and safety planning for patients in an ambulatory mental health setting.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Must hold a valid registered license in the state where they intend to practice as an advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse and have successfully completed ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

Preferred:

• 2 years of ambulatory mental health experience is preferred

Preferences

2 years of direct, semi-independent, patient care in an ambulatory mental health experience is preferred.
