Required Qualifications
Police Officer/Sr. Police Officer
- Successful completion of The University of Texas System Police Academy Basic Peace Officer Course or other equivalent academy.
- Must hold, or be able to obtain upon hire, a Peace Officer Commission from The University of Texas System.
- Must meet certain prerequisites...
- High School or GED equivalent.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Sr. Police Officer Only
- Five (5) years of related work experience as a licensed peace officer.

Working Conditions
Equipment Used
Must be proficient in the operation and safety procedures of all equipment utilized by the University Police Department necessary to perform assigned tasks.
Working Environment
Work involves a high degree of hazard normally associated with law enforcement. Exposure to outside weather conditions. May be required to work either day or night on any one of three shifts with varying days off.
Physical Demands
Duties involve driving, walking, running, standing, stooping, climbing, crouching, pushing, jumping over, pulling, carrying, reaching above head, lifting, lowering, hand-wrist and elbow motion, grasping, and holding. Excellent physical condition and vision, ability to hear and speak and full use of arms and legs.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
