Post Doc Fellow, Digital Construction & Transit Infrastructure
Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support a Federal Transit Administration (FTA)-funded research program focused on Advanced Digital Construction Management Systems (ADCMS) for transit infrastructure projects. Working under the supervision of Dr. Hazem Elzarka, the successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and evaluation of digital technologies including BIM, digital twins, project management information systems (PMIS), AI-enabled analytics, and infrastructure data integration.
The position provides a unique opportunity to work with leading transit agencies, technology providers, and researchers on nationally significant projects aimed at advancing digital transformation across the transportation industry.
Essential Functions
- Collaborating with transit agencies and industry partners
- Conducting research and data analysis
- Developing performance metrics and dashboards
- Preparing technical reports and publications
- Supporting workforce development and technology adoption initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: BIM, digital twins, construction technology, AI, data analytics, project controls, infrastructure systems, or digital project delivery.
- Strong communication and research skills.
