Offer Description
The Optoelectronics Division of the Institute of Micro-electronics and Optoelectronics, Warsaw University of Technology is looking for a candidate for the position of Post-Doc to implement the project entitled: "Photonics Integrated Circuits for Free Space Optical Communications (FSOC)" (Acronym FSOC) (FENG.01.01-IP.01-A0MR/24-00).
The scope of responsibilities:
- Design, development, construction and testing of components and systems parameters for optical communication in free space.
- Development of measurement systems, data acquisition, development of measurement results.
- Preparation of presentations, reports, scientific publications, conference presentations.
- Preparation of technical specifications for purchases of materials and equipment.

Skills/Qualifications
- completing higher education and obtaining a master's degree or an equivalent title;
- very good knowledge of English;
- scientific profile related to the scientific specialty of the Optoelectronics Division.
Specific Requirements
- knowledge of optical telecommunications, including free-space optical communication;
- practical knowledge of measurement techniques for photonic structures and devices;
- knowledge of the design and data acquisition aspects of sensing and teletransmission systems will be considered an additional advantage;
- knowledge of the design and characterization of specialized ASPIC (Application-Specific Photonic Integrated Circuit) devices will be considered an additional advantage.
Languages: ENGLISH

Eligibility criteria
- knowledge of optical telecommunications topics, including free-space communication;
- practical knowledge of issues of measurement techniques for photonic structures and systems;
- knowledge of topics related to the design and data acquisition of sensor and teletransmission systems will be an additional advantage;
- knowledge of issues related to the design and characterization of specialized ASPIC integrated photonics systems will be an additional advantage.
