Post-Doctoral Associate
Description
The Communication Theory and Technologies (CT&T) Research Group in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Post-Doctoral Associate. The candidate will be under the supervision of CT&T Research Group Director Prof. Dr. Murat Uysal and is expected to carry out cutting-edge research on the physical layer design of wireless communication systems and explore enabling technologies for 6G and beyond wireless networks.
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field. Other requirements include
- Strong background in communication theory, signal processing, and wireless communications,
- Extensive experience in physical (PHY) layer algorithm design and performance analysis,
- Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences,
- Strong verbal and written skills in English,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and capacity to pursue independent research.
In addition to the above qualifications, the applicants should have prior research experience in one or more of the following research topics:
- Waveform design for emerging spectrum (FR3, MMW, sub-THz/THz)
- Extreme massive MIMO communications
- Analog, digital and hybrid beamforming architectures
- Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces
- Machine learning for wireless communications
- Hardware-constrained signal processing for wireless communications
- Channel modeling and characterization
