The incumbent is expected to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, community members, graduate students, along with affiliated researchers, faculty and advisors.

Responsibilities

Primary tasks include assisting with the development of new NIH proposals on drowning and related unintended mortality, creating econometric models of causal impacts of policy interventions on changes in mortality, and preparing papers and articles for publication in academic journals. The incumbent may also assist in the supervision of graduate assistants and/or other research team members. The post-doc will be given time to pursue professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Applied Economics, Public Policy Analysis, or other interdisciplinary program focused on quantitative methods of policy analysis and evaluation;
• Evidence of effective writing and communications skills in the form of published written work, peer-reviewed journal articles, or other public-facing knowledge products.
