Job Description:
A Post-doctoral Associate in Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Chemistry position is available to work in a project exploring the interface of AI for QC led by Dr. Thorpe in the Department of Chemistry. The research will focus on the development and implementation of AI/ML techniques to extend and accelerate quantum chemical simulations of complex molecules and reactions.
Must have PhD in Physical/Theoretical Chemistry or Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning or related fields. This position will be initially awarded for one year, and, contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds, may be renewed for up to three years.

Required Qualifications:
Experience in the implementation and application of machine learning to quantum chemistry and a programming background in Python and C++.
Preferred:
Familiarity with wavefunction-based quantum chemistry.
Experience and interest in fundamental studies of chemical reactions, kinetics, thermochemistry, and spectroscopy.
Interest in mentoring graduate students.
