The Research Laboratory of Prof. Serdal Kirmizialtin, in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), seeks to appoint a talented researcher with an excellent record of academic success for a Post-Doctoral Associate position. The research will focus on the development and use of advanced molecular dynamics techniques to study Atmospheric Water Harvesting. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or related field, with extensive experience in the application of molecular dynamics simulations to molecular systems, ideally in both methods and applications. Experience in Atmospheric Water Harvesting, metal organic framework modelling and machine learning is highly desirable. An ideal candidate will have a solid background in physics and chemistry, particularly in the area of statistical mechanics and percolation theory, materials modelling for fluid separation from frameworks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent record of research accomplishments are preferred. Experience with modern sampling techniques such as metadynamics, machine learning; good computer programming skills, and working knowledge of UNIX, phyton, and shell scripting is highly desired. Experience in Gromacs,MAPS, PLUMED and Quantum Mechanics software will be very valuable.
