About the Job

Summary:

Engineering synthetic minimal cells, with particular focus on engineering translation system.

Required Qualifications:

Proficiency with cell-free expression systems, including PURE and TxTl, understanding of the principles of engineering of the translation system, proficiency in purifying tRNA pools and purification of individual tRNA isoacceptors.

Essential Functions:

Research - 80%

Mentoring junior students - 5%

Writing papers and proposals - 15%

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $62,232 - $65,000: Pay is determined by NIH Postdoc levels of education and experience
