Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 532589), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related discipline. They should have strong background and research experience in at least one of the following areas: (1) Chemical biology; (2) Anticancer drug research; (3) Cancer biology; (4) Mass spectrometry; (5) Proteomics. They should be self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team.

The appointee will work on interdisciplinary projects related to the development of novel therapeutic agents targeting cancer-related proteins for therapy. In particular, the appointee will utilize novel chemoproteomics probes to discover new druggable hotspots in liver cancer, which can facilitate the development of anticancer small-molecule drugs. The appointee will have a good opportunity to learn and perform state-of-the-art research for drug target identification and drug development.
