Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532952), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Virology. Expertise in mechanistic research or structural virology are particularly welcome. They are expected to be highly motivated and come up with independent lines of research enquiry. Prior experience in one or more of the following areas will be an advantage: a) developing and working with infectious clones, tissue culture or primary cell culture models, b) ability to work with infectious small animals, or c) omic-science.

The appointee will conduct research projects related to emerging agents of hepatitis (such as rat hepatitis E virus) under the supervision of Dr. Siddharth Sridhar in a leading clinical-translational emerging viral hepatitis research laboratory in a vibrant international city.
