The Computer Science Department of Carnegie Mellon University has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The candidate will work in the area of high-dimensional stochastic systems, including resource allocation problems, Markov decision processes and reinforcement learning, and statistical inference problems in large graphs.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in applied probability and optimization. The successful candidate is able to quickly integrate into new research areas and will be responsible for actively engaging in novel research questions, publishing and communicating research results. Candidate will also be active in advising students, assisting in preparing research grant proposals and grant reports, implementing research results, and demonstrating their applicability in systems applications.
Qualifications:
Phd in Computer Science or related degree
