Assay antiviral activities of new HIV-1 inhibitors; investigate
their mechanism(s) of action;
Investigate drug-resistance mechanisms of clinically relevant
HIV-1 variant;
Study virus-host interactions using siRNA and shRNA-mediated
knockdown of the cellular proteins of interest, proximity ligation
assays, confocal microscopy, immunoblotting.

- Summarize, interpret and communicate experimental
results;
- Write scientific papers for peer-reviewed journals;
- Present research findings at national meetings and
conferences;
- Initiate and maintain relationships with collaborators,
including coordination of experimental work;
- Assist Dr. Kvaratskhelia in preparation of grant
applications.
Work Location:
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in
Aurora, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of
hire.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PhD
or MD/PhD.
- Minimum of 4-year(s) experience in research, including the
degree years.
- Experience in performing virology experiments, analyzing
experimental results, and preparing draft manuscripts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD or MD/PhD in the field of life sciences.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently within a research
lab.
- Thriving in a teamwork setting.
