Offer Description
Activities and context: The 12-month post-doctoral fellowship involves developing weather radar image restoration methods using non-local residual deep learning, physical models, and transfer learning. Activities include reviewing the literature, implementing neural networks and attention mechanisms, conducting experiments with real data, evaluating results, writing scientific papers, and making the developed source code publicly available.
Mandatory requirements: PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field; demonstrated experience in machine learning and deep learning for image or signal processing; proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch or an equivalent framework; knowledge of neural networks and experimental evaluation; English proficiency for scientific reading and writing; ability to work independently and collaboratively; and availability throughout the 12-month fellowship.
