Activities and context
A post-doctoral position is available to develop polymeric nanoreactors for biocatalysis. The project focuses on designing and characterizing enzyme-loaded polymersomes with controlled membrane permeability for efficient confined enzymatic reactions. The candidate will investigate how membrane properties affect permeability and nanoreactor performance in an interdisciplinary environment spanning polymer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and quasi-living materials.
The successful applicant is expected to collaborate with national and international partners, publish in high-impact journals, and assist in the supervision of graduate and undergraduate students.
Mandatory requirements
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or closely related fields. Previous experience in soft self-assembled nanostructures and scattering and microscopy characterization of nanomaterials is indispensable. Strong written and oral communication skills in English and the ability to work independently within a collaborative research team are essential.

The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
