Applications are invited for the post of post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Physical Sciences and Engineering. The postholder will join the NERC-funded project ‘Calibrating the rhenium isotope proxy for petrogenic CO2 emissions from rock weathering (RE-FLUX)’ led by Professor Alex Dickson and Professor Rebecca Fisher, which aims to advance a new proxy for geological emissions of carbon dioxide to the oceans and atmosphere from rock weathering. The post-holder will be required to undertake isotope measurements of experimental and field samples, engage in fieldwork in the UK and Europe, work with project partners and promote the results of the research through publication and at UK and international conferences.
