Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder is searching for 2 Social Work Post-Masters Fellows! These fellowships are for candidates who have completed a master’s degree in social work and who need supervised clinical experience to obtain licensure. These positions provide clinical services including screening services, intake, group and individual psychotherapy, behavioral health interventions, telehealth services and crisis intervention to students attending the University of Colorado Boulder. The positions work a 40-hour week and require a two-year commitment. Training for these roles includes regular seminars on specific mental health topics, and 90 minutes of weekly individual supervision with an LCSW. Additionally, Social Work Fellows attend a weekly group training seminar and will co-facilitate a minimum of one therapy group each semester. All Fellows attend CAPS staff trainings and meetings. Ideal candidates are recent MSW graduates who have an educational background in evidenced based psychotherapy practices and whose goals are to acquire necessary clinical and supervision hours for licensure. Candidates should have relevant and significant clinical experience providing direct psychotherapy services including crisis intervention and group therapy. CAPS provides psychotherapy services in a brief therapy model, thus candidates will be using short term interventions. CAPS is a multidisciplinary setting, and Fellows should be familiar with electronic medical records and be okay with managing a demanding clinical schedule.
