About the Workplace: Masaryk University is a modern, dynamic university in the Czech Republic with ten faculties. The Faculty of Science is a research-oriented faculty offering education in sciences and is the most productive scientific unit of Masaryk University. The Department of Condensed Matter Physics is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the project QM4ST, focusing on magnetism of nano-oxide thin films.
Job Description:
- Participate in selecting specific problems (with professors of the Department).
- Use and be responsible for the PLD system, assisting students.
- Perform VSM, XRD, XPS measurements on materials and analyze data.
- Write papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Present results at international conferences.
Skills and Qualifications: The applicant should be a researcher with a PhD in experimental Condensed Matter Physics or related field (within the last 7 years), have a good publishing record (at least two publications in Web of Science or Scopus in the last three years), strong background in Solid-State Physics and Materials Science, at least two years of experience with PLD, and good English communication skills.
