Offer Description
Postdoc Position as part of the project “Multimodal multiphoton nanoscopy using SPAD array detectors and adaptive optics”, [FENG.02.02-IP.05-0157/25], carried out under the First Team programme of the Foundation for Polish Science, co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Smart Economy 2021–2027 (FENG).
Quantitative Computational Imaging Lab (QCI Lab) is looking for a Post-doc to conduct research combining microscopy, photonics, and advanced data analysis. The work will involve the development of a unique multiphoton microscopy system equipped with a SPAD array detector and an adaptive optics setup.
Scope of tasks:
- Experimental work: participation in the construction, calibration, and alignment of the innovative multiphoton microscope system.
- Acquisition and processing of imaging data.
- Cooperation with biological partners.
- Documentation of results (reports, plots, preparation of materials for presentations/publications).
- Design and fabrication of the calibration test phantoms
- Developing and testing acquisition software, and implementing image analysis algorithms and localization methods.

Skills/Qualifications
Merit-based criteria
- PhD degree in physics, optical engineering, biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related field (or a defence date scheduled before the start of employment),
- very good experimental skills in modern imaging methods, microscopy, optical design, and optical measurements,
- 4 or more years of experience in the field,
- good programming skills (Python / MATLAB / LabVIEW),
- laboratory experience (optical/biological) and/or knowledge of advanced data analysis methods will be an added advantage,
- fluent English,
- reliability, good work organization, teamwork skills,
- experience in disseminating research results within the scientific community.

- The candidate must:
