The primary mission of the appointee will be to conduct experimental research as part of an INCA PL-BIO project aimed at understanding the role of the endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response in potentiating immunotherapy treatments. He/she will also be required to participate in cross-cutting research activities within the laboratory and contribute to shared laboratory tasks. Cell biology and immunology methodologies, including advanced cellular imaging, cytometry, molecular biology, and "omics" techniques, will be implemented to understand how small molecules that stimulate the UPR synergize with the innate immune response to enhance the efficacy of immunotherapeutic treatments.
The research will be performed at the Centre d'Immunologie de Marseille-Luminy (CIML), a joint research unit of the CNRS, Inserm, and Aix-Marseille University. It comprises approximately 200 staff members and 16 research teams, and is located at the Luminy science and technology park in Marseille, France. The successful candidate will join the "Dendritic Cell Biology" research team led by Philippe Pierre at the CIML (pierre@ciml.univ-mrs.fr).

Skills/Qualifications
Applicants are expected to have In-depth knowledge of immunology and molecular and/or cellular biology, with skills in mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, biochemistry. Teamwork skills and knowledge of ethical, health, and safety regulations are important.
