Project Description

• Focus: Robot learning for manipulation using Vision–Language–Action (VLA) models.
• Goal: Improve robot perception and control, especially for tabletop and mobile manipulation.
• Scope:
  • Leverage whole-body, humanoid-style motion to handle complex tasks
  • Enable coordinated base-arm-hand behaviors in dynamic environments
• Research Environment: KTH’s School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
• Collaboration: Work with multi-disciplinary teams in robotics research

Qualifications

Required:

• Doctoral degree (or equivalent) at the time of employment decision
• Research expertise in machine learning and/or robotics
• Strong programming skills
• Outstanding research and publication record
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills

Preferred:

• Doctoral degree obtained within the last 3 years
• Pedagogical skills
• Awareness of diversity and equality issues
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Emphasis: Strong personal skills and teamwork
