POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE

New York University Tandon School of Engineering

The Ramadi Lab for Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine (www.RamadiLab.com) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Associate to join a young energetic lab focused on neuroengineering of the brain and enteric nervous system. The candidate will join an exciting project developing ingestible electronic devices with a high potential for translation. Tasks will include device design, manufacturing, and preclinical neuroscience models.

Our laboratory offers multidisciplinary training with a high degree of academic freedom among various high-impact translational projects. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students, ensuring the candidate learns valuable skills in writing manuscripts and grant proposals, advising fellow researchers, and establishing collaborations across disciplines.

Expectations

Candidates will be responsible for designing and fabricating novel device constructs, and testing them in benchtop and preclinical models. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in biomedical, mechanical, electrical engineering, or materials science as exemplified by a strong publication record. Previous experience in device design and testing would be beneficial.

Salary range
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $62,500-$80,000 depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification.

Candidates should have a PhD in Engineering or a related field. We welcome applicants with recent PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
