Position Summary

A Postdoctoral Associate (Community Engagement Fellow) position is available in the Department of Philosophy at the University at Buffalo. This position will be supported by the Department of Education Grant P116J250119 'From Campus to Community: Civil Discourse as a Catalyst for Local Civic Renewal.' Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the success of our funded project.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Teaching: Teach one class per year (in the PPE wheelhouse, broadly construed).
• Service: Help spearhead many of our community engagement projects and on-campus events such as speaker series and workshops.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD in either Philosophy, Politics, Economics or related discipline expected completion by August 2026

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in hand by start date

Salary Range

$70,000
