Postdoctoral Fellow in Bio-Photonics and Optical Imaging
The Leung Research Group in the Department of Intelligent Systems Engineering at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering in Bloomington, Indiana, USA, invites applications for a postdoctoral position focused on developing cutting-edge optical imaging systems using advanced light manipulation techniques for biomedical applications. The group seeks to develop novel optical methodologies leveraging the degrees of freedom of light to enhance imaging performances. Research combines optics, microscopy imaging, systems engineering, and biophotonics.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in physics, optical sciences, optical engineering, photonics, quantum science, or biomedical engineering; hands-on experience with optical systems and lasers; proficiency in data processing software like Python or Matlab; excellent professionalism, work ethics, initiative, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in spatio-temporal structured light, Fourier domain imaging, pulsed lasers, imaging science, optical microscopy, and Zemax.
Salary: $52,000 - $58,000. Appointment: Twelve-month full-time non-tenure track, potentially extendable annually.
