Description:
The Tischler group from the Homer L. Dodge Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Center for Quantum Research and Technology at the University of Oklahoma (OU) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in experimental condensed matter physics (CMP).
Topics of interest include optical properties of semiconductors and metamaterials. Topics of interest include metasurfaces of surface phonon polaritons and surface phonon plasmons in heavily doped semiconductors as well as excitons in colloidal nanostructures and other semiconductor heterostructures. The research will focus on physics of these material systems with and without external magnetic fields and temperatures ranging from 4K to high temperatures.
The initial appointment is for two years with the possibility of an extension for a total of three years, contingent on satisfactory performance and availability of funds. The start date of the appointment is flexible and can be as early as February 7, 2026. Compensation for the position is competitive and travel support is available.
