Postdoctoral Research Associate in Protein Biochemistry and Biotechnology
The Qing Laboratory at Oxford is recruiting two postdoctoral researchers to join an ERC Starting Grant (UKRI-funded) project focused on developing innovative nanopore technologies for the single-molecule analysis of full-length proteoforms.
This project combines chemical biology, biophysics, and biotechnology to engineer protein nanopore systems and biochemical workflows capable of directly characterising protein identity and post-translational modifications at the single-molecule level. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team developing new approaches to one of the key challenges in molecular analysis.
We are seeking candidates with a PhD (or near completion) in biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or a related field, with a strong background in protein science. Experience in areas such as protein engineering, mammalian expression systems, post-translational modifications, or proteoform biology would be particularly valuable.
The positions are available for an initial period of 24 months, with the possibility of extension. If you are interested in advancing next-generation molecular technologies within a collaborative and innovative research environment, please get in touch to learn more.
Closing date for applications is 12 noon on 15 April 2026, please upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application.
