Postdoctoral Research Associate
We are looking for a postdoctoral (or equivalent) clinical researcher to play a key role in a British Heart Foundation funded study using genomics and other omics data to investigates the pathogenesis of stroke and develop new treatments. There is a particular focus on cerebral small vessel disease which accounts for about quarter of all strokes, and is the most common pathology underlying vascular dementia. We are looking for someone who is it early post doctoral level but who has extensive experience in analysing genomic and other multiomic data.
The ideal candidate would have experience of working in the field of stroke genetics and have a good understanding of the MRI endpoints which we use in analysis.

Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will initially be appointed as a Research Assistant (Grade 5, Point 38 £34,610) moving to Research Associate (Grade 7) upon confirmation of your PhD award.
