Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Research: Develop and enhance the EasiGP software pipeline and undertake collaborative research to advance ensemble-based genomic prediction methodologies, including analysis of large-scale Arabidopsis datasets and training researchers in software application.
- Contribute to high-quality research outcomes through publications, competitive funding applications, collaborative projects, research translation and the development of an emerging research profile in predictive breeding technologies.
- Supervision and Researcher Development: Contribute to the supervision, mentoring and development of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, fostering researcher capability and professional growth.
- Effectively support and manage supervisee and research staff performance, including coaching, feedback and resolution of workplace issues in line with University policies and procedures.
- Citizenship and Service: Demonstrate collaborative leadership and strong citizenship aligned with UQ values through active participation in service, committee, operational and partnership activities across the University and broader community.

About You
- Completion or near completion of a PhD in the discipline area.
- An emerging profile in research in the discipline area.
- Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
- Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.
- Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities
