Essential Job Duties:

• Conduct research in areas of high performance computing for sparse tensor networks, such as parallel algorithms, runtime, and compiler
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students conducting research
• Write and publish the results of that research in peer-reviewed venues
• Conduct funding related tasks (e.g., reporting)
• Coordination of and participation in project meetings
• Collaborate with professors at two other universities to integrate work together
• Lead and participate in public engagement and outreach activities
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Departmental Required Skills:

• Highly motivated, organized individual
• Interpersonal skills needed to collaborate with the rest of the research team
• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field awarded no more than five (5) years from initial date of postdoctoral appointment.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

• PhD degree in Computer Science, Computational Science, or Computational Mathematics
• Research record on High-Performance Computing
• Experience in numerical methods and knowledge of linear algebra are beneficial
