Postdoctoral Researcher for Dr. Puri - Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine
Position Summary
The Postdoctoral Researcher for Dr. Puri supports a Principal Investigator (PI) in designing, conducting, and analyzing data from laboratory-based investigations and experiments. The position involves working collaboratively with the PI to complete a directed research project and prepares the individual to perform independent research. Additional responsibilities include leading research projects with minimal supervision, writing and submitting manuscripts, preparing and presenting research at conferences, developing grant proposals for federal and private funding opportunities, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in research and development. This is a one-year term position with the possibility of extension for up to three years.
Position Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct assigned and/or original research projects independently while collaborating with faculty, staff, and students
- Maintain accurate records of research findings and analyses
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in collaboration with faculty, staff, and students, and present research findings at professional meetings
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Cardiometabolic Research or related field

Pay Rate
The approved salary range for this position is $50,000 to $57,000. Pay is commensurate with the candidate's education and experience in relation to the minimum qualifications for the position.
