Offer Description
The selected person will join the Translational Research Group in Respiratory Medicine within the research line 'Airway: Study of chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD and bronchiectasis' and will provide their services in charge of the following projects:
From the date of incorporation and until May 31, 2027, for the project 'PV100433 Initiative for Early Lung Cancer Research on Treatment (IELCART)', some of the tasks that will be carried out are:
- Participation in the development and implementation of applied clinical research projects and clinical trials with drugs.
- Design, development and monitoring of clinical and translational research protocols in the field of the airway.
- Management, analysis and interpretation of clinical and research data, including the application of bioinformatics and statistical analysis techniques.
- Coordination and monitoring of research activities, in collaboration with the clinical professionals and researchers involved in the projects.
- Preparation, analysis and presentation of results at national and international conferences.
- Participation in the preparation of scientific publications and in the dissemination of project results.
- Participation in work meetings and coordination activities with national and international collaborators.
- Drafting of new research proposals and applications for competitive funding, with the aim of consolidating the research career of the selected person and giving continuity to their postdoctoral activity.
From 1 June 2027 and until the total period of one year of the contract is completed, the selected person will provide services within the framework of the research project 'A100806 Study to obtain tests for the detection of cancer in Roche', some of the tasks that will be carried out are:
- Identification and validation of biomarkers associated with respiratory diseases.
- Carrying out economic evaluation and cost-effectiveness studies.
- Evaluation and analysis of the chest image using radiomics techniques.

Skills/Qualifications
Knowledge
- Specific training courses in clinical research, scientific writing and methodology of clinical studies and clinical trials, among others.
- Knowledge of English at a high level, accredited by official certificates or degrees.
- Specific training courses in data analysis.
Experience
- Demonstrable experience in clinical and translational research.
- Experience in university teaching.
- Participation in national or international competitive projects (IP or collaborator).
- Membership of editorial boards and national and international scientific societies.
- International training stay: in research centres, academic institutions or reference hospitals.
- Knowledge of the statistical program R.
- Have at least 5 scientific publications indexed as the first author.
- To be listed as a doctoral thesis supervisor or linked under his/her supervision.
