PURPOSE OF CONTRACT: Collaborator on activities related to the project/agreement stated.
JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULE: A Coruña, Monday to Friday 09.30 to 16.30
TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT
The candidate is expected to work on the search for decays of long-lived particles (dark hadrons):
- Preparation of the data and simulation samples for the search, using data from the LHCb experiment.
- Development and implementation of the methodology, and validation of the analysis techniques.

MERIT ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
Experience and qualifications
- Having developed advanced programs in Python and/or C++ (1 point for each program with more than 100 lines of code, up to a maximum of 2 points).
- Being or having been a member of one of the following LHC experimental collaborations: ATLAS, CMS, LHCb or ALICE (1 point).
- Experience in the analysis of long-lived particles (1 point per year of experience in the analysis of long-lived particles, up to a maximum of 2 points).
- Presentation of research results at conferences/workshops or international or national meetings (0.5 points for each talk or poster, up to 1 point).
- Internationalisation: stays at a foreign research centre other than the centre where the bachelor's degree was obtained (0.5 points per week of stay, up to a maximum of 1 point).
- Fluent communication in English: native speaker, C2 level or equivalent, or final-year dissertation (TFG) written in English (1 point); C1 level (0.75 points); B2 level (0.5 points).
PERSONAL INTERVIEW
Should there be multiple applications, a personal interview will be held with the two highest-scoring candidates, provided they achieve a minimum score of 5 points under the criteria above (2 additional points).
On the basis of the requirements and the assessment of merits, a prioritised ranking of candidates will be established.
The position will be awarded to the candidate with the highest score.
A reserve list will be drawn up from the remaining candidates who reach a minimum of 7 points, to be used for hiring in the event of withdrawal, termination or leave of the selected candidate
