Job Summary: Harness geospatial science and human-computer interaction to unlock the potential of medical drones for safe, efficient, and socially responsible healthcare logistics across national borders. This involves working on the BeNeDrone project, a cross-border initiative focused on using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for delivering critical medical goods.

Responsibilities: Collect and analyze geospatial databases; develop algorithms to compute flight routes for medical drones with a data science engineer; develop a dashboard for route navigation; test human-computer interaction of the dashboard with hospitals, legislatures, and the general public; work in an interdisciplinary team using Artificial Intelligence and data science to address societal and business challenges, including ethical, societal, and legal aspects.

Qualifications and Requirements: Hold or be close to completing a PhD in geospatial science, geography (specialization in GIScience), cognitive science, computer science, or cognitive/mathematical psychology; have curiosity or experience in technologies like interactive websites and virtual reality simulations; possess a research track record with publications in peer-reviewed journals; communicate effectively in Dutch and English, with Dutch proficiency essential for stakeholder engagement; thrive in interdisciplinary teams and work independently with initiative.
