We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join an interdisciplinary research program focused on viral and parasite immunology. The successful candidate will investigate immune responses to viral and parasitic infection (with an opportunity to learn this on the job), with an emphasis on mechanisms of host defense and the effect of an individual's infection history on subsequent exposure. The position offers a positive research environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities and opportunities for collaborations but within and outside University of Pennsylvania.
Qualifications
PhD in Immunology, Virology, Microbiology, or related field. Evidence of scientific productivity evidenced by is at least one first-author publication either in preprint or already published in a peer-reviewed journal. Experience with viral infection models is a requirement for this position. An open mind and willingness to learn new skills are preferred.
