Pre-Press Operator
Responsible for preparing and placement of files for digital, wide format and offset printing; Process electronic files and import them into software and impose onto the press sheet, making color, text, and digital image corrections as needed including any assembly, typesetting and or die lines; produces required proofs and works closely with the CSR to ensure output is correct; Performs platemaking tasks including maintenance of platemaker; Monitors inventory levels of proofers and alerts supervisor of ordering needs; Inputs information in computer system to track materials and labor. Responsible for meeting production deadlines and output schedules assigned by supervisors. Responsible for arranging assigned work in most efficient and cost-effective manner to accomplish work. Performs general tasks and routine assignments. Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Required: High School Graduate or equivalent education/experience
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Required: 1 year of relevant experience required: working offset printing and digital copying. knowledge of all facets of printing and copying (pre-press, pressroom, bindery and mailing); strong computer literacy skills including locating, moving, imposing and troubleshooting files; experience in color management.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED
Strong proficiency with the Adobe Suite and offset workflow (Fuji XMF) etc. Requires thorough knowledge of processes and equipment, materials and methods of operation; experience and knowledge of paper and differences in stock; strong problem-solving skills; ability to meet production schedules and ability to multi-task; ability to sit for 8 hours or more.

The target hiring range for this job profile is $20.24 - $26.44 hourly. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
