"Presidential Young Scholars Scheme"

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is seeking outstanding young scholars for the Presidential Young Scholars Scheme to join as Assistant Professors and Associate Professors. This scheme aims to boost leadership and impact in research areas of significant societal needs and strategic importance.

Applicants for Assistant Professor should have completed their PhD and/or postdoctoral research in a world-leading group, published significant world-leading research as a main author, and demonstrated potential for high creative ability in teaching and research. For Associate Professor, candidates should have documented scholarly production, professional achievements, an international reputation for impactful research, and contributions to professional or public service.

Priority areas include research addressing societal challenges, areas strategic to PolyU, strong interdisciplinary work, and emerging fields of importance. For more information, visit the PolyU website at www.polyu.edu.hk.

Appointees will receive the title of “Presidential Young Scholar,” an attractive annual remuneration package of not less than HK$1 million per year, and a start-up grant of not less than HK$4 million for research activities over the initial three years.
