Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Project Manager leads and oversees the California State Public Hospital Redesign and Incentives in Medi-Cal (PRIME) program at UC Irvine Health. Acquires resources and coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. May assist leadership with streamlining existing project processes, procedures and guidelines. May mentor junior-level Project Managers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven skills in managing large and complex projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Minimum 7 years healthcare experience as MD, RN, RD, PharmD or other relevant clinical discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a Healthcare environment
  • Exceptional skills in report writing and making technical presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple fast-paced technical projects
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience and/or technical knowledge of the Eclipsys Foundation Application (SCM) or Epic Electronic Health Record application system
  • Previous leadership experience in the management of complex healthcare programs
  • PMI or PMP Certification or current progress toward PMI or PMP Certification
  • Master's Degree
  • Knowledge of compliance/regulatory standards
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Experience with the California state Public Hospital Redesign and Incentives in Medi-Cal (PRIME) program
  • Experience with LEAN/Six Sigma approaches
  • Demonstrated proficiency with use of Microsoft Project
  • Business Intelligence (BI) tools experience
